As is traditional the opening gambit will be a pithy comment from our beloved Chairman , MK Seve:

“It is with great pleasure that I look back with a fond heart on the 2025 golfing season, lets face it like most of us I am very surprised and pleased to even have made it this far, so every one is a bonus.

There has been some surprisingly good golf this year with young Mark Griffin coming down from a 17.3 handicap to a courageous 13.9, well done that man !

And the mighty Kevin , Big K, Shorrocks, always a top performer,  playing off single figures on a Tuesday for a substantial part of the season and still banging in excellent scores !

No doubt both are contenders for this years prestigious Golfer of the Year Award.

Looking ahead to 2026 I am particularly fascinated with the way in which the Portugal Tour seems to be developing. Not unlike the schism in the professional golfing world we now seem to have 3 tours which allegedly will be playing together on just 2 or 3 courses next May.

Bloody nightmare, if you ask me, still it is about time I bought the trophy home myself, been a few seasons now and with a big field and some tricky courses this could be my year again !!!  Bring it on !!

If there is time I would also like to thank my loyal staff, my servants and my litterateur and script writer for his dedicated support.

And of course a Merry Christmas and a splendid New Year to one and all !!!

The Peter Crowhurst Celebration Trophy.

It is now 9 years since we lost our Pete which makes 2026 a big year, more about that in the New Year, the Trophy was up for grabs on 4 occasions , as ever, in 2025:

PCC 2025 Bournemouth.

In April , in sunny Bournemouth at the Very Old Masters (VOMs) it is a Dearsley who normally picks up the Crowhurst , no change in 2025, as Clive held the Trophy high for the 4th time in his regular spawny fashion !

PCC 2025 Portugal.

May arrived, quite suddenly for some, and the boy Entwistle (no “H”) , was on good form in the ,not so sunny Algarve, and Chilly picked up his 5th Crowhurst !  Well done Chilly !

PCC 2025 UK Kibworth.

The summer PCC returned to Kibworth this year and the mighty Big K Shorrocks almost effortlessly won his 4th Crowhurst !

PCC 2025 Bridlington.

And as the year flowed on we went off up North to sunny Brid in September and a new man on the Trophy, Dave Simmonds (probably from Newark) well played Dave !!

2026 will mean 10 years of the PCC. Watch this space for more details as we mark this major anniversary.

2025 Golfer Of The Year Kevin Shorrocks !!!!

Kevin Shorrocks or Big K as he is known on the Tour has had an amazing season. He played 8 rounds off single figures getting as low as 3 in September at Cold Ashby and still scored 25 points. For those 8 single figure rounds he managed to average 31 points !

Kevin also won the Crowhurst in the summer and the Super Bock Steaks in Bridlington and throughout the Tuesday golf season he averaged over 32 points !

Well done Kevin Shorrocks 2025 Golfer of the Year !!
