Portugal 2024 Concessionaires Teams Announced !!

It was 2014 when , in a moment of genius MK Seve, SEVE Bet CEO and benevolent entrepreneur , decided that the Concessionaires Cup should be introduced to the Portugal Tour.  10 years on The Concessionaires lead 7 -3 against the young Turks in this generational battle. This year sadly MK himself will be absent from the Tournament having bravely led the team in those victorious years.

“I am disappointed not to lead the chaps out on the anniversary of this great competition.” said MK from his Warwickshire mansion.

I am please to announce that Mick Rushall, a man of integrity, honour and a brisk right hook will be leading the Concessionaires in my absence. This year the team is very strong and we welcome Lord Chilly Entwistle into the team after he resigned as Captain of the Delinquents in 2022.

I can also announce that the Captain of the young upstarts this year will be none other than Uncle Nigel Carby , promoted to Captain after many unsuccessful years as Vice Captain of the Delinquents.

“I’m up for it ! interrupted Nigel. My boys, under my guidance, leadership and violent threats will triumph over the old fellas. We did it last year with Biffa in charge , what could possibly go wrong ?!”

When the press conference had calmed down from the unnecessary violent outburst MK went on to announce the teams in full and to explain how the competition will work with only 3 Concessionaires on the last part of the tour. The gathered press asked questions concerning the complete lack of a Cup or Trophy of any kind but MK dismissed this as fake news and left in a huff.

For those new to the competition all will be explained at the traditional tour opening meeting at 7.30 pm on Tuesday 7th May at the O’Cafe Restaurant with Super Bock lager and perhaps something to eat.
