37 Tuesday golf days played – a new record – 311 rounds of golf played by 24 Players !

The big scores:

Clive 42 points at Kilworth Springs

MK Seve , Charlie and Chilly with 44 points at Whitefields and Kilworth

BUT the outstanding round of 2022

Max banged in 45 points at Cold Ashby (26th April 2022) beating all previous records – Nice one Max !!

 

Chilly wins The Tuesday golf  2022 “Road to Vilamoura” with 32 appearances and 37.50% wins or places. Pretty good going playing off an average handicap off 11.1!

Griff holds onto 2nd place , Charlie 3rd (with a bad back) and Mike T squeezes into 5th place in his first season.

Hoppy Dearsley won the Bournemouth VOMs in April in a wet early spark of form.

THE PORTUGAL TOUR 2022.

2022, the Boys returned to the hallowed greens of Vilamoura where Lord Chilly wins his 5th Tour on the final day following a stupendous battle with Hoppy Dearsley. And Sir Michael King returns to the tour with a plucky 6th place.

And a fine body of Men !  (whoever they are ?)

 

THE SUPER BOCK HANDICAP STEAKS 2022.

The Portugal Steaks was won by the mighty Tony Bryan in fine style after smashing in 40 points in the opening round round at The Vale da Pinta.

Uncle Nigel in 2nd , just 1 point behind and 1 point behind that the guvnor himself Big K Shorrocks, who has actually been quite quiet this season, thank goodness.

Bridlington Super Bock Steaks 2022.

The Bridlington Admiral’s Cup of course also incorporates the Super Bock Steaks and this year , a man in outstanding form towards the end of the season, Sir Roger Large took the trophy and the glory by a 5 point margin over the 19 man field !  (But as Roger had already won almost everything else, no one was suprised !)

Sir Roger also pick up the “Best Dressed Man Of The Year Award” this year sponsored by Boots the Chemist !

 

THE PETER CROWHURST CELEBRATION TROPHY 2022.

This sought after Trophy is played 4 times each year and draws some of the finest golfing talent of the drinking world.

Bournemouth 2022.  Bob Dearsley (no relation) 2 time winner.

Portugal 2022. MK Seve. Surprisingly a premier victory for this seasoned professional !

Summer 2022 – Beedles Lake. Sir Roger Large started his amazing run of form at Beedles Lake in the heat of the summer.

Bridlington 2022 – Sir Roger Large, by the time Roger hit the links of Yorkshire there was no stopping him.

THE BRIDLINGTON ADMIRAL’s CUP 2022.

19 Players eventually turned up to, what is now becoming an event to rival The Masters and The Eurovision Song Contest, The Bridlington Admiral’s Cup.

The weather held firm and in glorious conditions for late September the competition delivered as ever.

Big K Shorrocks returned to his winning ways with victory over the first 2 days to take the Flamborough Head Banger, and Big Tone even remembered to bring the trophy with him, result !

The remaining Trophies , PCC Trophy, Super Bock Steaks and the Admiral’s Cup itself went to the magnificent Sir Roger Large  , who was on the form of his life winning from Aldo and Kevin (Big K) by 3 clear shots. Roger was stunned the players were stunned and the crowd were stunned (that’s stunned not stoned !)

Mk Seve spoke ” We were stunned !!”

2022 a year of contradictions !! “No it wasn’t !!”

Tuesday Golf – Every Tuesday (surprisingly) commencing 3rd Jan 2023.

Very Old Masters 2023  – Bournemouth 20th – 24th April (Dearsleys only.)

Portugal Tour 2023  – Portugal 9th – 17th May

Summer PCC 2023  – July 28th Venue TBA.

Bridlington 2023 – 8th – 11th September.

 

Tuesday golf starts on 3rd January at Kilworth Springs, with all Handicaps reset to normal levels.

So clean up your balls and polish them shoes cos here we go again !!!
